Many events are FREE! Walking the tulip-lined streets and parks costs nothing — over 6 million tulips are planted throughout the city.Windmill Island Gardens: $15/adult, $7/kids (3-15) on weekdays; $20/$10 on weekends. Kids under 2 free. No advance tickets — pay at the gate.Tulip Immersion Garden: $15/adult, $5/kids (3-12). Tickets available online through tix.com. Opens at 8 AM on weekdays — go early for a peaceful visit.Visit on weekdays for cheaper admission and significantly less crowding. Mid-week (Tue-Thu) is the quietest.Parking is free throughout the city, but weekend lots fill up fast. Arrive early or take the Amtrak — Holland has a train station!Don't miss the Kinderparade (May 7) and Volksparade (May 9) — both are free to watch from the street.Bring blankets and a picnic for the parks. Kollen Park and Centennial Park are great free spots to see tulips with kids.Plan for 4-6 hours for a day trip.
